12 According to the number that ye shall prepare, so shall ye do to every one according to their number.

12 According to the number that you prepare, so you shall do for everyone according to their number.

12 This is how you must prepare each of them, no matter how many.

12 Depending on the number of offerings that you prepare, do for each one according to their number.

12 According to the number that you prepare, so shall you do to everyone according to their number.

13 All that are born of the country shall do these things after this manner, in offering an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.

14 When a foreigner resides with you or someone else is among you and wants to prepare a fire offering as a pleasing aroma to the Lord, he is to do exactly as you do throughout your generations.

14 "Now, if a resident alien lives with you, or whoever else is with you throughout your generations, let him make an offering made by fire, a pleasing aroma to the LORD. Just as you do, so is he to do.

14 If a stranger lives as a resident alien with you, or whoever may be among you throughout your generations, and he wishes to make an offering by fire, as a sweet and soothing aroma to the Lord, just as you do, so shall he do.

15 One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD.

15 As for the assembly, there shall be (I)one statute for you and for the alien who sojourns with you, a perpetual statute throughout your generations; as you are, so shall the alien be before the Lord.

15 The assembly is to have the same statute for(j) both you and the foreign resident as a permanent statute throughout your generations. You and the foreigner will be alike before the Lord.

16 One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you.

16 There is to be (J)one law and one ordinance for you and for the alien who sojourns with you.’”

16 The same law and the same ordinance will apply to both you and the foreigner who resides with you.”(B)

16 There is to be one law and one ordinance for you and for the resident alien who lives with you."

16 There is to be one law and one ordinance for you and for the stranger who lives with you as a resident alien.’”

Rules For First Fruits

17 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

17 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

17 The Lord instructed Moses:

17 Then the LORD instructed Moses:

17 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

18 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land whither I bring you,

18 “Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When you enter the land where I bring you,

18 “Speak to the Israelites and tell them: After you enter the land where I am bringing you,

18 "Tell the Israelis that when they enter the land that I'm about to bring you to,

18 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them, ‘When you enter the land to which I am bringing you,

19 Then it shall be, that, when ye eat of the bread of the land, ye shall offer up an heave offering unto the LORD.

19 then it shall be, that when you eat of the (e)(K)food of the land, you shall lift up (f)an offering to the Lord.

19 you are to offer a contribution to the Lord when you eat from the food of the land.

19 when you have eaten some of the bread that the land produces, you are to offer a raised offering to the LORD.

19 then, when you eat the food of the land, you shall lift up an offering (heave offering) to the Lord.

20 Ye shall offer up a cake of the first of your dough for an heave offering: as ye do the heave offering of the threshingfloor, so shall ye heave it.

20 (L)Of the first of your (g)dough you shall lift up a cake as an (h)offering; as (M)the (i)offering of the threshing floor, so you shall lift it up.

20 You are to offer a loaf from your first batch of dough(C) as a contribution; offer it just like a contribution from the threshing floor.(D)

20 You are to offer a cake made from the first of your bread dough as a raised offering to the LORD. Offer it as a raised offering right off your threshing floor.

20 You shall lift up a cake made of the first of your [ground grain which has been made into] dough as an offering [to the Lord]; as an offering from the threshing floor, so shall you lift it up.

21 Of the first of your dough ye shall give unto the LORD an heave offering in your generations.

21 From the first of your (j)dough you shall give to the Lord an (k)offering throughout your generations.

21 Throughout your generations, you are to give the Lord a contribution from the first batch of your dough.

21 From then on, throughout your generations give the first of your bread dough to the LORD."

21 From the first of your dough (ground grain) you shall give to the Lord an offering throughout your generations.

Laws About Unintentional Sins

22 And if ye have erred, and not observed all these commandments, which the LORD hath spoken unto Moses,

22 ‘But when you (N)unwittingly fail and do not observe all these commandments, which the Lord has spoken to Moses,

22 “When you sin unintentionally and do not obey all these commands that the Lord spoke to Moses(E)

22 "Here's what you are to do when you all go astray and fail to observe all these commands that the LORD had spoken to Moses,

22 ‘But when you unintentionally fail and do not observe all these commandments, which the Lord has spoken to Moses,

23 Even all that the LORD hath commanded you by the hand of Moses, from the day that the LORD commanded Moses, and henceforward among your generations;

23 even all that the Lord has commanded you (l)through Moses, from the day when the Lord gave commandment and onward throughout your generations,

23 all that the Lord has commanded you through Moses, from the day the Lord issued the commands and onward throughout your generations—

23 including anything that the LORD commanded you by the authority of Moses, starting from the day the LORD commanded Moses and continuing through your generations.

23 even all that the Lord has commanded you (b)through Moses, from the day that the Lord gave commandments and onward throughout your generations,

24 Then it shall be, if ought be committed by ignorance without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bullock for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour unto the LORD, with his meat offering, and his drink offering, according to the manner, and one kid of the goats for a sin offering.

24 then it shall be, if it is done (O)unintentionally, (m)without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one bull for a burnt offering, as a soothing aroma to the Lord, (P)with its grain offering and its drink offering, according to the ordinance, and one male goat for a sin offering.

24 and if it was done unintentionally without the community’s awareness, the entire community is to prepare one young bull for a burnt offering as a pleasing aroma to the Lord, with its grain offering and drink offering according to the regulation, and one male goat as a sin offering.

24 When anything is done without the knowledge of the congregation, the entire community is to offer one young bull for a burnt offering, a pleasing aroma to the LORD, along with its meal and drink offerings offered according to procedure, and one male goat for a sin offering.

24 then it shall be, if it was done unintentionally without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bull as a burnt offering, as a sweet and soothing aroma to the Lord, with its grain offering and its drink offering, according to the ordinance, and one male goat as a sin offering.

25 And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it is ignorance: and they shall bring their offering, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD, for their ignorance:

25 Then (Q)the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and they will be forgiven; for it was an error, and they have brought their offering, an offering by fire to the Lord, and their sin offering before the Lord, for their error.

25 The priest must then make atonement for the entire Israelite community so that they may be forgiven, for the sin was unintentional. They are to bring their offering, one made by fire to the Lord, and their sin offering before the Lord for their unintentional sin.

25 Then the priest is to make atonement for the entire community of the Israelis, and they will be forgiven for inadvertent sins. They are to bring their offering, an offering made by fire to the LORD, as well as their sin offering, into the LORD's presence on account of their error.

25 Then the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and they will be forgiven, for it was an error and they have brought their offering, an offering by fire to the Lord, and their sin offering before the Lord, for their error.

26 And it shall be forgiven all the congregation of the children of Israel, and the stranger that sojourneth among them; seeing all the people were in ignorance.

26 So all the congregation of the sons of Israel will be forgiven, with the alien who sojourns among them, for it happened to all the people through (R)error.

26 The entire Israelite community and the foreigner who resides among them will be forgiven, since it happened to all the people unintentionally.

26 Then the entire community of Israel will be forgiven, along with the resident alien who lives among them, since all the people will have sinned inadvertently."

26 So all the congregation of the Israelites will be forgiven as well as the stranger who lives among them as a resident alien, because all the people were involved in the error.

27 And if any soul sin through ignorance, then he shall bring a she goat of the first year for a sin offering.

27 ‘Also if one person sins (S)unintentionally, then he shall offer a one year old female goat for a sin offering.

27 “If one person sins unintentionally,(F) he is to present a year-old female goat as a sin offering.

27 "Now when one person sins inadvertently, then he is to bring a one year old female goat for a sin offering.

27 ‘Also if one person sins unintentionally, then he shall offer a female goat one year old as a sin offering.

28 And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the LORD, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.

28 (T)The priest shall make atonement before the Lord for the person who goes astray when he sins unintentionally, making atonement for him (n)that he may be forgiven.

28 The priest must then make atonement before the Lord on behalf of the person who acts in error sinning unintentionally, and when he makes atonement for him, he will be forgiven.

28 Then, in the LORD's presence, the priest is to make atonement for the person who sinned inadvertently, that is, to make atonement on his behalf so he may be forgiven.

28 The priest shall make atonement before the Lord for the person who commits an error when he sins unintentionally, making atonement for him so that he may be forgiven.

29 Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.

29 You shall have one law for him who does anything unintentionally, for him who is native among the sons of Israel and for the alien who sojourns among them.

29 You are to have the same law for the person who acts in error, whether he is an Israelite or a foreigner who lives among you.

29 You are to have a single law for the one who does things inadvertently, whether for the native-born Israeli or for the resident alien who lives among you."

29 You shall have one law for him who sins unintentionally, whether he is native-born among the Israelites or a stranger who is living among them as a resident alien.

Deliberate Sin

30 But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

30 But the person who does anything (U)defiantly, whether he is native or an alien, that one is blaspheming the Lord; and that person shall be cut off from among his people.

30 “But the person who acts defiantly,(k) whether native or foreign resident, blasphemes the Lord.(G) That person is to be cut off from his people.

30 "But if some person acts with a high hand, whether a native-born or a resident alien, he blasphemes God, and that person is to be eliminated from among his people.

30 But the person who does [anything wrong] (c)willfully and defiantly, whether he is native-born or a stranger, that one is blaspheming the Lord, and that person shall be cut off from among his people [excluding him from the atonement made for them].

31 Because he hath despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.

31 Because he has (V)despised the word of the Lord and has broken His commandment, that person shall be completely cut off; (W)his (o)guilt will be on him.’”

31 He will certainly be cut off, because he has despised the Lord’s word and broken His command; his guilt remains on him.”

31 Because he has despised the law of the LORD and has broken his commands, that person is certainly to be eliminated. His iniquity will remain on him."

31 Because he has despised and rejected the word of the Lord, and has broken His commandment, that person shall be utterly cut off; [the responsibility for] his wickedness and guilt will be upon him.’”

Violation Of The Sabbath

32 And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day.

32 Now while the sons of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man (X)gathering wood on the sabbath day.

32 While the Israelites were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering wood on the Sabbath day.(H)

32 As it was when the Israelis were in the wilderness, they found a man who was gathering wood on the Sabbath day.

32 Now while the Israelites were in the wilderness, they found a man who was gathering wood on the Sabbath day.

33 And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.

33 Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation;

33 Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses, Aaron, and the entire community.

33 The ones who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses, Aaron, and all the people.

33 Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation;

34 And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.

34 and they put him in (p)custody (Y)because it had not been (q)declared what should be done to him.

34 They placed him in custody because it had not been decided what should be done to him.

34 Then they confined him until it could be declared what should be done to him.

34 and they put him in custody, because it had not been explained [by God] what should be done to him.

35 And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.

35 Then the Lord said to Moses, “The man shall surely be put to death; (Z)all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.”

35 Then the Lord told Moses, “The man is to be put to death. The entire community is to stone him outside the camp.”

35 Then the LORD told Moses, "The man is certainly to die. The entire community is to stone him to death outside the camp."

35 Then the Lord said to Moses, “The man shall certainly be put to death. All the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.”

36 And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses.

36 So all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him (r)to death with stones, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

36 So the entire community brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

36 So the whole community brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones so that he died, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.

36 So all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death with stones, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Garment Fringes

37 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

37 The Lord also spoke to Moses, saying,

37 The Lord said to Moses,

37 Later, the LORD instructed Moses,

37 The Lord said to Moses,

38 Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue:

38 “Speak to the sons of Israel, and tell them that they shall make for themselves (AA)tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and that they shall put on the tassel of each corner a cord of blue.

38 “Speak to the Israelites and tell them that throughout their generations they are to make tassels(I) for the corners of their garments, and put a blue cord on the tassel at each corner.

38 "Tell the Israelis that they are to make tassels at the edges of their garments throughout their generations and that they are to put a violet cord on the tassels at the edges of their garments.

38 “Speak to the sons of Israel and tell them to make for themselves tassels on the hems of their garments throughout their generations, and put a cord of blue on the tassel of each hem.

39 And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:

39 It shall be a tassel for you (s)to look at and (AB)remember all the commandments of the Lord, so as to do them and not (t)follow after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you played the harlot,

39 These will serve as tassels for you to look at, so that you may remember all the Lord’s commands and obey them and not become unfaithful by following your own heart and your own eyes.

39 That way, when you see the tassel, you'll remember all the commands of the LORD and you'll observe them. Then you won't seek your own interests and desires that lead you to be unfaithful.

39 It shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the Lord, to do them, so that you do not follow after [the desires of] your own heart and eyes, [desires] after which you used to follow and play the prostitute,

40 That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.

40 so that you may remember to do all My commandments and (AC)be holy to your God.

40 This way you will remember and obey all My commands and be holy to your God.

40 Therefore, remember to observe all my commands and to be holy in the presence of your God.

40 so that you may remember to do all My commandments and be holy (set apart) to your God.

41 I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD your God.

41 I am the Lord your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt to be your God; I am the Lord your God.”

41 I am Yahweh your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God; I am Yahweh your God.”(J)

41 I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God. I am the LORD your God."

41 I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God. I am the Lord your God.”
