The ordinance

And Eleazar the priest said unto all the men of war which went out to battle, "This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD commanded Moses:

with meats only and drinks, and divers washings, and justifyings of the flesh, which were ordained until the time of reformation.

A red heifer

And the priest shall take the living bird and the cypress wood and the purple and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water,

And so though your sins be like to purple, they shall be made as white as snow; and though they be as red as scarlet, they shall be made like white wool.

A sheep without spot and a male of one year old shall it be, and from among the lambs and the goats shall ye take it.

Such a high priest it becometh us to have, which is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than heaven.

And let the elders of that city which is next unto the slain man, take a heifer that is not laboured with nor hath drawn in the yoke,

Now therefore make a new cart and take two milk kine, on whose neck never came yoke. And tie the kine in the cart, and bring the calves home from them.

{Nun} The yoke of my transgression is come at the last; with his hand hath he taken it up, and put it about my neck. My strength is gone: the LORD hath delivered me into those hands, whereout I cannot quit myself.

Therefore doth my father love me: because I put my life from me, that I might take it again.

Which, being in the shape of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God.
