2 Command the sons of Israel and say unto them, When ye have entered into the land of Canaan (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan according to its borders),
2 “Command the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When you enter (A)the land of Canaan, this is the land that shall fall to you as an inheritance, even the land of Canaan according to its borders.
2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)
2 “Command the Israelites and say to them: When you enter the land of Canaan, it will be allotted to you as an inheritance(a) with these borders:
2 "Issue these orders to the Israelis: "You're about to enter the land of Canaan. This territory has been apportioned to you as your inheritance: the entire land of Canaan, all the way to its borders.'"
3 you shall have on the side of the Negev from the wilderness of Zin unto the borders of Edom, and your border towards the Negev shall be the outmost coast of the salt sea eastward.
3 (B)Your southern (a)sector shall (b)extend from the wilderness of Zin along the side of Edom, and your southern border shall (c)extend from the end of the Salt Sea (C)eastward.
3 Then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the coast of Edom, and your south border shall be the outmost coast of the salt sea eastward:
3 Your southern side will be from the Wilderness of Zin along the boundary of Edom. Your southern border on the east will begin at the east end of the Dead Sea.
3 ""To your south is the Wilderness of Zin, bordering Edom. Your southern border is to extend east toward the far end of the Dead Sea,
4 And this border shall turn from the Negev to the ascent of Akrabbim and pass on to Zin, and the going forth thereof shall be from the Negev to Kadeshbarnea and shall go on to Hazaraddar and pass on to Azmon;
4 Then your border shall turn direction from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim and (d)continue to Zin, and its (e)termination shall be to the south of (D)Kadesh-barnea; and it shall (f)reach Hazaraddar and (g)continue to Azmon.
4 And your border shall turn from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass on to Zin: and the going forth thereof shall be from the south to Kadeshbarnea, and shall go on to Hazaraddar, and pass on to Azmon:
4 Your border will turn south of the Ascent of Akrabbim,(b) proceed to Zin, and end south of Kadesh-barnea. It will go to Hazar-addar and proceed to Azmon.(A)
4 then it is to turn southward to the ascent of Akrabbim, cross Zin, and then run south of Kadesh-barnea and proceed from there to Hazar-addar and across to Azmon.
5 and the border shall fetch a compass from Azmon unto the river of Egypt, and the goings out of it shall be at the western sea.
5 The border shall turn direction from Azmon to the brook of Egypt, and its termination shall be at (E)the sea.
5 And the border shall fetch a compass from Azmon unto the river of Egypt, and the goings out of it shall be at the sea.
5 The border will turn from Azmon(B) to the Brook of Egypt,(C) where it will end at the Mediterranean Sea.
5 Then the border is to turn from Azmon toward the wadi of Egypt and from there to the Mediterranean Sea.'"
6 And as for the western border, ye shall even have the great sea for a border; this shall be your west border.
6 ‘As for the western border, you shall have the Great Sea, that is, its (h)coastline; this shall be your west border.
6 And as for the western border, ye shall even have the great sea for a border: this shall be your west border.
6 Your western border will be the coastline of the Mediterranean Sea; this will be your western border.
6 ""The western border is to be the Mediterranean Sea. This is to be the western border.'"
7 And this shall be your north border: from the great sea ye shall point out for you Mount Hor.
7 ‘(F)And this shall be your north border: you shall draw your border line from the Great Sea to Mount Hor.

7 ""Your northern border is to extend from the Mediterranean Sea to Mount Hor.
8 From Mount Hor ye shall point out your border unto the entrance of Hamath, and the goings forth of the border shall be to Zedad,
8 You shall draw a line from Mount Hor to (G)the (i)Lebo-hamath, and the termination of the border shall be at Zedad;
8 From mount Hor ye shall point out your border unto the entrance of Hamath; and the goings forth of the border shall be to Zedad:
8 From Mount Hor, you are to mark out the entrance to Hammath, with the border running through Zedad,
9 and the border shall go on to Ziphron, and the goings out of it shall be at Hazarenan; this shall be your north border.
9 and the border shall proceed to Ziphron, and its termination shall be at Hazar-enan. This shall be your north border.
9 And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and the goings out of it shall be at Hazarenan: this shall be your north border.
9 then through Ziphron, and then to Hazar-enan. This is to be the northern border.'"
10 And ye shall point out your east border from Hazarenan to Shepham,
10 ‘For your eastern border you shall also draw a line from Hazar-enan to Shepham,
10 And ye shall point out your east border from Hazarenan to Shepham:
10 For your eastern border, draw a line from Hazar-enan to Shepham.
10 ""You are to mark the border on the east from Hazar-enan to Shepham.
11 and the border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain, and the border shall descend and shall reach unto the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward.
11 and the border shall go down from Shepham to (H)Riblah on the east side of Ain; and the border shall go down and reach to the (j)slope on the east side of the Sea of (I)Chinnereth.
11 And the coast shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall descend, and shall reach unto the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward:
11 The border will go down from Shepham to Riblah east of Ain.(H) It will continue down and reach the eastern slope of the Sea of Chinnereth.(e)(I)
11 The border is then to extend from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain, then to the Sea of Chinnereth on the east.
12 And the border shall go down to the Jordan, and the goings out of it shall be at the salt sea; this shall be your land with the borders thereof round about.
12 And the border shall go down to the Jordan and its termination shall be at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land according to its borders all around.’”

13 And Moses commanded the sons of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the LORD commanded to give unto the nine tribes and to the half tribe,
13 So Moses commanded the sons of Israel, saying, “(J)This is the land that you are to apportion by lot among you as a possession, which the Lord has commanded to give to the nine and a half tribes.
13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the LORD commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:
13 So Moses commanded the Israelites, “This is the land you are to receive by lot as an inheritance, which the Lord commanded to be given to the nine and a half tribes.
13 Moses commanded the Israelis, "You are to inherit this land by lot, just as the LORD commanded to give it to the remaining nine and a half tribes.
14 because the tribe of the sons of Reuben, according to the houses of their fathers, and the tribe of the sons of Gad, according to the houses of their fathers, and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance.
14 (K)For the tribe of the sons of Reuben have received theirs according to their fathers’ households, and the tribe of the sons of Gad according to their fathers’ households, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received their possession.

15 The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side of the Jordan of Jericho eastward, toward the sunrising.

17 These are the names of the men who shall divide the possession of the land for you: Eleazar, the priest, and Joshua, the son of Nun.

29 These are those whom the LORD commanded to cause the sons of Israel to inherit the land of Canaan.
