And it came to pass on the day that Moses had fully set up the tabernacle, and had anointed it, and sanctified it, and all the instruments thereof, both the altar and all the vessels thereof, and had anointed them, and sanctified them;
in the first month of the second year, on the first day of the month, the tabernacle was erected.
“Take also for yourself the finest of spices: of flowing myrrh five hundred shekels, and of fragrant cinnamon half as much, two hundred and fifty, and of fragrant cane two hundred and fifty,
Moses then took
the anointing oil and anointed the tabernacle and all that was in it, and consecrated them.
Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created
Sanctify to Me every firstborn, the first offspring of every womb among the sons of Israel, both of man and beast; it belongs to Me.”
1 Kings 8:64
On the same day the king consecrated the middle of the court that was before the house of the Lord, because there he
offered the burnt offering and the grain offering and the fat of the peace offerings; for the bronze altar that was before the Lord was too small to hold the burnt offering and the grain offering and the fat of the peace offerings.
You blind men, which is more important, the offering, or the altar that sanctifies the offering?
