For all the firstborn of the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast: on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself.
all the firstborn are Mine; on the day that I struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I sanctified to Myself all the firstborn in Israel, from man to beast. They shall be Mine; I am the Lord.”
Sanctify to Me every firstborn, the first offspring of every womb among the sons of Israel, both of man and beast; it belongs to Me.”

Every firstborn male that opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord”),
On the day
Now it came about at
midnight that the Lord struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of cattle.
And smote all the firstborn in Egypt,
first issue of their virility in the tents of Ham.
He also struck down all the firstborn in their land,
first fruits of all their vigor.
He smote the firstborn of Egypt, Both of man and beast.
By faith he
kept the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, so that he who destroyed the firstborn would not touch them.
And it shall be when your son asks you in time to come, saying, ‘What is this?’ then you shall say to him, ‘ With a powerful hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, from the house of slavery.
I will consecrate the tent of meeting and the altar; I will also consecrate Aaron and his sons to minister as priests to Me.
‘Now if a man consecrates his house as holy to the Lord, then the priest shall value it
as either good or bad; as the priest values it, so it shall stand.
Also I gave them My sabbaths to be a
sign between Me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them.
do you say of Him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘ I am the Son of God’?
For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.
How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?
In the exercise of
His will He brought us forth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures.
