Ye see

for he has been yearning for you all. He has been greatly concerned because you heard he was ill.

So with you. Just now you are in sorrow, but I shall see you again and your heart will rejoice ??with a joy that no one can take from you.

sorrowing chiefly because he told them they would never see his face again. Then they escorted him to the ship.

When I recall the tears you shed when we parted, I long by night and day to see you again. That would fill me with joy,

And he was ill, nearly dead with illness. But God had mercy on him, and not only on him but on me, to save me from having one sorrow upon another.

So the very reason I wrote was that I might not come only to be pained by those who ought to give me joy; I relied on you all, I felt sure that my joy would be a joy for everyone of you.
