Proverbs 1:30

You rejected my advice and paid no attention when I warned you.

You have ignored all my counsel. You accept no correction.

My people did not listen to my voice. Israel did not obey me.

I have inherited your laws forever, for they are the joy of my heart.

Let Your hand be ready to help me. For I have chosen your precepts.

Wise people are put to shame, confused, and trapped. They have rejected the word of Jehovah. They do not really have any wisdom.

They all made excuses one after another. The first one told the servant: 'I bought a field and must go and look at it. Please accept my apologies.'
