Be not thou afraid of sudden dread, nor of the desolation of the lawless, when it cometh.

Thou shalt not be afraid, Of the dread of the night, Of the arrow that flieth by day;

Nevertheless, even if ye should suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye ! Their fear, however, do not fear, neither be troubled;

During the scourge of the tongue, shalt thou be hid, neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh;

If, thou, hast prepared thy heart, and wilt spread forth, unto him, thy hands -

Yahweh, is my light and my salvation, Of whom shall I be afraid? Yahweh, is the refuge of my life, Of whom shall I be in dread?

God - for us, is a refuge and strength, A help in distresses, soon found.

How have they become desolate, as in a moment! They have ceased - come to an end, by reason of calamities.

Of evil tidings, shall he not be afraid, Established is his heart, led to trust in Yahweh;

When cometh as a crashing your dread, and, your calamity, as a storm-wind, overtaketh, when there come upon you, distress and anguish.

Ye shall not say - A confederacy! of everything of which this people may say. A confederacy! And their fear, shall ye not fear or regard as awful:

Do not fear, for with thee, I am! Look not around, for, I, am thy God, - I have emboldened thee, Yea I have helped thee, Yea I have upheld thee with my righteous right-hand.

If it is, our God, whom we serve, is able to deliver us, - out of the burning furnace of fire, and out of thy hand, O king, he will deliver.

And 1o! a great squall, arose in the sea, so that, the boat, was being covered, by the waves, - but, he, was sleeping.

Moreover ye will be sure to be hearing of wars, and rumours of wars: Mind! be not alarmed, for it must needs happen, - but, not yet, is, the end;

Whensoever, therefore, ye shall see the abomination desolation, that was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in a holy place, - he that readeth, let him think,

And he said unto them - Why, are ye, fearful? Not yet, have ye faith?

But, whensoever ye shall hear of wars and revolutions, be not terrified, - for these things, must needs, come to pass first, but, not immediately, is the end.

And, a hair of your head, in nowise shall perish, -

Let not your heart be troubled: Believe on God, and, on me, believe.
