How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?

A man appeared, sent by God, whose name was John:

And then you know what this Crisis means, you know it is high time to waken up; for Salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed.

Thus it is said, 'Wake up, O sleeper, and rise from the dead; so Christ will shine upon you.'

You know perfectly well that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night;
