¹ Blessed is the man who doesn't walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers;

¹ How blessed is the man who ^(A)does not walk in the ^(B)counsel of the wicked,Nor stand in the ^(a)^(C)path of sinners,Nor ^(D)sit in the seat of scoffers!

¹ Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

¹ BOOK I(Psalms 1–41)How happy is the manwho does not follow^(a) the advice of the wickedor take^(b) the path of sinnersor join a group^(c) of mockers!^(A)

¹ How blessed is the person, who does not take the advice of the wicked, who does not stand on the path with sinners, and who does not sit in the seat of mockers.

³ He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper.

³ And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

³ He is like a tree planted beside streams of water^(d)that bears its fruit in season^(e)^(C)and whose leaf does not wither.^(D)Whatever he does prospers.^(E)

³ He will be like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in its season, and whose leaf does not wither. He will prosper in everything he does.

⁵ Therefore the wicked will not escape judgment, nor will sinners have a place in the assembly of the righteous.
