Psalm 102:14

Affliction In Light Of Eternity

¹³ You will arise and have pity on Zion; it is the time to favor her; the appointed time has come. ¹⁴ Surely Your servants find pleasure in her stones
And feel pity for her dust.
¹⁵ Nations will fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth will fear your glory.

Take Pleasure In

Nehemiah 4:2

And he said in the presence of his brothers and of the army of Samaria, "What are these feeble Jews doing? Will they restore it for themselves? Will they sacrifice? Will they finish up in a day? Will they revive the stones out of the heaps of rubbish, and burned ones at that?"

Ezra 1:5

Then rose up the heads of the fathers' houses of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests and the Levites, everyone whose spirit God had stirred to go up to rebuild the house of the LORD that is in Jerusalem.

Nehemiah 1:3

And they said to me, "The remnant there in the province who had survived the exile is in great trouble and shame. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates are destroyed by fire."

Nehemiah 2:3

I said to the king, "Let the king live forever! Why should not my face be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers' graves, lies in ruins, and its gates have been destroyed by fire?"

Nehemiah 2:17

Then I said to them, "You see the trouble we are in, how Jerusalem lies in ruins with its gates burned. Come, let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer suffer derision."

Nehemiah 4:6

So we built the wall. And all the wall was joined together to half its height, for the people had a mind to work.

Nehemiah 4:10

In Judah it was said,"The strength of those who bear the burdens is failing. There is too much rubble. By ourselves we will not be able to rebuild the wall."

Psalm 79:1

O God, the nations have come into your inheritance; they have defiled your holy temple; they have laid Jerusalem in ruins.

For they have devoured Jacob and laid waste his habitation.

If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget its skill!

Daniel 9:16

"O Lord, according to all your righteous acts, let your anger and your wrath turn away from your city Jerusalem, your holy hill, because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and your people have become a byword among all who are around us.
