1 {A Psalm of David.} The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

1 A declaration from the LORD to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool."
2 The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.
2 The Lord will stretch forth Your strong (D)scepter from Zion, saying,“(E)Rule in the midst of Your enemies.”
2 When the LORD extends your mighty scepter from Zion, rule in the midst of your enemies.
3 Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.
3 Your (F)people (a)will volunteer freely in the day of Your (b)power;(G)In (c)holy array, from the womb of the dawn,(d)Your youth are to You as the (H)dew.
3 Your people will volunteeron Your day of battle.(c)(C)In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn,the dew of Your youth belongs to You.(d)(D)
3 Your soldiers are willing volunteers on your day of battle; in majestic holiness, from the womb, from the dawn, the dew of your youth belongs to you.
3 Your people will offer themselves willingly [to participate in Your battle] in the day of Your power;In the splendor of holiness, from the womb of the dawn,Your young men are to You as the dew.
4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
4 (I)The Lord has sworn and will (J)not (e)change His mind,“You are a (K)priest foreverAccording to the order of Melchizedek.”
4 The Lord has sworn an oath and will not take it back:“Forever, You are a priestlike Melchizedek.”(E)
4 The LORD took an oath and will never recant: "You are a priest forever, after the manner of Melchizedek."
6 He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.
6 He will (O)judge among the nations,He (g)will fill them with (P)corpses,He (h)will (Q)shatter the (i)chief men over a broad country.
6 He will execute judgment against the nations, filling graves with corpses. He will utterly destroy leaders far and wide.
