1 Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

1 Hallelujah!(a)Happy is the man who fears the Lord,taking great delight in His commands.(A)

1 Hallelujah! How happy is the person who fears the LORD, who truly delights in his commandments.

1 Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who fears the Lord [with awe-inspired reverence and worships Him with obedience],Who delights greatly in His commandments.(A)

2 His (d)(C)descendants will be mighty (e)on earth;The generation of the (D)upright will be blessed.

2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

10 The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

10 The wicked man will see it and be angry;he will gnash his teeth in despair.(O)The desire of the wicked man will come to nothing.(P)

10 The wicked person sees this and flies into a rage; his teeth gnash and wear away. The desire of the wicked will amount to nothing.

10 The wicked will see it and be angered,He will gnash his teeth and melt away [in despair and death];The desire of the wicked will perish and come to nothing.
