1 Hallelujah! Give praise, you servants of the LORD. Praise the name of the LORD!
2 Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore.
2 May the name of the LORD be blessed from now to eternity.
2 Blessed be the name of the LordFrom this time forth and forever.
3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD'S name is to be praised.
3 From rising to setting sun, may the name of the LORD be praised.
3 From the rising of the sun to its settingThe name of the Lord is to be praised [with awe-inspired reverence].
4 The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.
4 The LORD is exalted high above all the nations; his glory beyond the heavens.
4 The Lord is high above all nations,And His glory above the heavens.
6 Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!
6 yet stooping low to observe the sky and the earth?
7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;
7 He lifts the poor person from the dust, raising the needy from the trash pile
7 He raises the poor out of the dustAnd lifts the needy from the ash heap,
8 That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.
8 and giving him a seat among nobles with the nobles of his people.
8 That He may seat them with princes,With the princes of His people.
9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD.
9 He makes the barren woman among her household a happy mother of joyful children. Hallelujah!
9 He makes the barren woman live in the houseAs a joyful mother of children.Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)
