Psalm 123

² Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, until that he have mercy upon us.

² Behold, as the eyes of ^(C)servants look to the hand of their master,As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress,So our ^(D)eyes look to the Lord our God,Until He is gracious to us.

² Like a servant’s eyes on his master’s hand,like a servant girl’s eyes on her mistress’s hand,so our eyes are on the Lord our Goduntil He shows us favor.^(B)

² Consider this: as the eyes of a servant focus on what his master provides, and as the eyes of a female servant focus on what her mistress provides, so our eyes focus on the LORD our God, until he has mercy on us.

⁴ Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.
