Zion's Restoration

11 When the LORD brought back the captive ones of Zion, We were like those who dream.

11 {A Song of degrees.} When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.

11 When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream.

11 When the LORD brought back Zion's exiles, we were like dreamers.

11 When the Lord brought back the captives [who returned] to Zion, we were like those who dream [it seemed so unreal].

22 Then our mouth was filled with laughter And our tongue with joyful shouting; Then they said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."

22 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.

22 Our mouths were filled with laughter then, and our tongues with shouts of joy. Then they said among the nations, "The Lord has done great things for them."

22 Then our mouths were filled with laughter, and our tongues formed joyful shouts. Then it was said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."

22 Then were our mouths filled with laughter, and our tongues with singing. Then they said among the nations, The Lord has done great things for them.

33 The LORD has done great things for us; We are glad.

33 The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.

33 The Lord had done great things for us; we were joyful.

33 The great things that the LORD has done for us gladden us.

33 The Lord has done great things for us! We are glad!

44 Restore our captivity, O LORD, As the streams in the South.

44 Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.

44 Restore our fortunes, Lord, like watercourses in the Negev.

44 Restore our exiles, LORD, like the streams of the Negev.

44 Turn to freedom our captivity and restore our fortunes, O Lord, as the streams in the South (the Negeb) [are restored by the torrents].

55 Those who sow in tears shall reap with joyful shouting.

55 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

55 Those who sow in tears will reap with shouts of joy.

55 Those who weep while they plant will sing for joy while they harvest.

55 They who sow in tears shall reap in joy and singing.

66 He who goes to and fro weeping, carrying his bag of seed, Shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.

66 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

66 Though one goes along weeping, carrying the bag of seed, he will surely come back with shouts of joy, carrying his sheaves.

66 The one who goes out weeping, carrying a bag of seeds, will surely return with a joyful song, bearing sheaves from his harvest. A Solomonic Song of Ascents

66 He who goes forth bearing seed and weeping [at needing his precious supply of grain for sowing] shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
