¹ How happy is every one that revereth Yahweh, who walketh in his ways!

¹ {A Song of degrees.} Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.

¹ How blessed are all who fear the LORD as they follow in his ways.

² Thy wife, like a fruitful vine, within the recesses of thy house, - Thy children, like plantings of olive-trees, round about thy table.

² For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

² When you shall ^(C)eat of the ^(a)^(D)fruit of your hands,You will be happy and ^(E)it will be well with you.

² You will surely eatwhat your hands have worked for.^(B)You will be happy,and it will go well for you.^(C)

² You will eat from the work of your hands; you will be happy, and it will go well for you.

³ Lo! thus, shall be blessed the man who revereth Yahweh.

³ Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

⁴ Yahweh will bless thee, out of Zion, - and behold thou the welfare of Jerusalem, all the days of thy life!

⁴ Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.

⁴ Behold, for thus shall the man be blessedWho fears the Lord.

⁴ In this very waythe man who fears the Lordwill be blessed.^(E)

⁴ See how the man will be blessed who fears the LORD.

⁵ And behold thou thy children's children, - Prosperity on Israel!

⁵ The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
