But I trust in you, O Lord! I declare, "You are my God!"

I say this about the Lord, my shelter and my stronghold, my God in whom I trust --

(Khet) The Lord is my source of security. I have determined to follow your instructions.

I cry out to you, O Lord; I say, "You are my shelter, my security in the land of the living."

"My portion is the Lord," I have said to myself, so I will put my hope in him.

Then I will bring the remaining third into the fire; I will refine them like silver is refined and will test them like gold is tested. They will call on my name and I will answer; I will say, 'These are my people,' and they will say, 'The Lord is my God.'"

Hear me, O Lord, when I cry out! Have mercy on me and answer me!
