Psalm 18:26

You prove to be reliable to one who is blameless, but you prove to be deceptive to one who is perverse.

Although he is scornful to arrogant scoffers, yet he shows favor to the humble.

"'If in spite of these things you do not allow yourselves to be disciplined and you walk in hostility against me,

"'If in spite of this you do not obey me but walk in hostility against me,

He loved to curse others, so those curses have come upon him. He had no desire to bless anyone, so he has experienced no blessings.

Or do you have contempt for the wealth of his kindness, forbearance, and patience, and yet do not know that God's kindness leads you to repentance?

There will be affliction and distress on everyone who does evil, on the Jew first and also the Greek,

For judgment is merciless for the one who has shown no mercy. But mercy triumphs over judgment.
