Prayer For Vindication

1 By David. Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have integrity, and I trust in the Lord without wavering.

1 {A Psalm of David.} Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.

1 Vindicate me, LORD, because I have walked in integrity; I have trusted in the LORD without wavering.

2 Examine me, O Lord, and test me! Evaluate my inner thoughts and motives!

2 Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.

2 Test me, Lord, and try me;examine my heart and mind.(B)

2 Examine me, LORD, and inspect me! Test my heart and mind.

3 For I am ever aware of your faithfulness, and your loyalty continually motivates me.

3 For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.

3 For Your (G)lovingkindness is before my eyes,And I have (H)walked in Your (d)truth.

3 For Your faithful love is before my eyes,and I live by Your truth.(C)

3 For your gracious love precedes me, and I continuously walk according to your truth.

4 I do not associate with deceitful men, or consort with those who are dishonest.

4 I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.

4 I do not (I)sit with (e)deceitful men,Nor will I go with (f)(J)pretenders.

4 I do not sit with the worthlessor associate with hypocrites.

4 I do not sit with those committed to what is false, nor do I travel with hypocrites.

5 I hate the mob of evil men, and do not associate with the wicked.

5 I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.

5 I (K)hate the assembly of evildoers,And I will not sit with the wicked.

5 I hate a crowd of evildoers,and I do not sit with the wicked.(D)

5 I hate the company of those who practice evil, nor do I sit with the wicked.

6 I maintain a pure lifestyle, so I can appear before your altar, O Lord,

6 I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O LORD:

6 I shall (L)wash my hands in innocence,And I will go about (M)Your altar, O Lord,

6 I wash my hands(a) in innocence(E)and go around Your altar, Lord,(F)

6 I wash my hands innocently. I go around your altar, LORD,

7 to give you thanks, and to tell about all your amazing deeds.

7 That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.

7 That I may proclaim with the voice of (N)thanksgivingAnd declare all Your (g)wonders.

7 raising my voice in thanksgiving(G)and telling about Your wonderful works.(H)

7 so I may praise you loudly with thanksgiving and declare all your wondrous acts.

8 O Lord, I love the temple where you live, the place where your splendor is revealed.

8 LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.

8 O Lord, I (O)love the habitation of Your houseAnd the place (h)where Your (P)glory dwells.

8 Lord, I love the house where You dwell,the place where Your glory resides.(I)

8 LORD, I love the dwelling place that is your house, the place where your glory resides.

9 Do not sweep me away with sinners, or execute me along with violent people,

9 Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:

9 (Q)Do not (i)take my soul away along with sinners,Nor my life with (R)men of bloodshed,

9 Do not destroy me along with sinners,or my life along with men of bloodshed(J)

9 Do not group me with sinners, nor include me with men who shed blood.

10 who are always ready to do wrong or offer a bribe.

10 In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.

10 In whose hands is a (S)wicked scheme,And whose right hand is full of (T)bribes.

10 in whose hands are evil schemesand whose right hands are filled with bribes.(K)

10 Their hands are filled with wicked schemes, and their right hands with bribes.

11 But I have integrity! Rescue me and have mercy on me!

11 But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.

11 But as for me, I shall (U)walk in my integrity;(V)Redeem me, and be gracious to me.

11 But I live with integrity;redeem me and be gracious to me.(L)

11 But as for me, I walk in my integrity. Redeem me and be gracious to me!

12 I am safe, and among the worshipers I will praise the Lord.

12 My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.

12 My foot stands on level ground;(M)I will praise the Lord in the assemblies.(N)
