God Our Refuge

11 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.

11 {To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth.} God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

11 God is our refuge and strength, a helper who is always found in times of trouble.

11 God is our refuge and strength, a great help in times of distress.

11 God is our Refuge and Strength [mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very present and well-proved help in trouble.

22 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea;

22 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

22 Therefore we will not be afraid, though the earth trembles and the mountains topple into the depths of the seas,

22 Therefore we will not be frightened when the earth roars, when the mountains shake in the depths of the seas,

22 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains be shaken into the midst of the seas,

33 Though its waters roar and foam, Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah.

33 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

33 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with its turmoil. Selah

33 when its waters roar and rage, when the mountains tremble despite their pride. Interlude

33 Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling and tumult. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!

44 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, The holy dwelling places of the Most High.

44 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

44 [There is] a river- its streams delight the city of God, the holy dwelling place of the Most High.

44 Look! There is a river whose streams make the city of God rejoice, even the Holy Place of the Most High.

44 There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.

55 God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.

55 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

55 God is within her; she will not be toppled. God will help her when the morning dawns.

55 Since God is in her midst, she will not be shaken. God will help her at the break of dawn.

55 God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God will help her right early [at the dawn of the morning].

66 The nations made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered; He raised His voice, the earth melted.

66 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

66 Nations rage, kingdoms topple; the earth melts when He lifts His voice.

66 The nations roared; the kingdoms were shaken. His voice boomed; the earth melts.

66 The nations raged, the kingdoms tottered and were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted.

88 Come, behold the works of the LORD, Who has wrought desolations in the earth.

88 Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.

88 Come, see the works of the Lord, who brings devastation on the earth.

88 Come, observe the mighty works of the LORD, who causes desolation in the earth.

88 Come, behold the works of the Lord, Who has wrought desolations and wonders in the earth.

99 He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariots with fire.

99 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

99 He makes wars cease throughout the earth. He shatters bows and cuts spears to pieces; He burns up the chariots.

99 He causes wars to cease all over the earth, he causes the bow to break, the spear to snap, the chariots to ignite and burn.

99 He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow into pieces and snaps the spear in two; He burns the chariots in the fire.

1010 "Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

1010 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

1010 "Stop [your fighting]-and know that I am God, exalted among the nations, exalted on the earth."

1010 Be in awe and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted throughout the earth.

1010 Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth!

1111 The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah.

1111 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
