How can they have understanding, that are the workers of wickedness, eating up my people as it were bread, and calling not upon God?

"Nevertheless this shall come upon them because my people is become foolish, and hath utterly no understanding. They are the children of foolishness, and without any discretion. To do evil, they have wit enough: but to do well, they have no wisdom."

When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

Take heed, ye unwise among the people: O ye fools, when will ye understand?

Their harvest shall be burnt; their wives, which were their beauty when they came forth, shall be defiled. For it is a people without understanding, and therefore he that created them, shall not favour them; and he that made them, shall not be merciful to them.

Pour out thine indignation rather upon the Gentiles, that know thee not, and upon the people that call not on thy name: And that because they have consumed, devoured and destroyed Jacob, and have rooted out his glory.

Ye fools and blind: whether is greater; the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?

And the ten horns, which thou sawest upon the beast, are they that shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate, and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
