Praise For God's Protection

11 Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me, For my soul takes refuge in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge Until destruction passes by.

11 {To the chief Musician, Altaschith, Michtam of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave.} Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.

11 Be gracious to me, God, be gracious to me, for I take refuge in You. I will seek refuge in the shadow of Your wings until danger passes.

11 Have mercy on me, God, have mercy, for in you I have placed my trust. Even in the shadow of your wings will I find my refuge until this calamity passes.

11 Be merciful and gracious to me, O God, be merciful and gracious to me, for my soul takes refuge and finds shelter and confidence in You; yes, in the shadow of Your wings will I take refuge and be confident until calamities and destructive storms are passed.

22 I will cry to God Most High, To God who accomplishes all things for me.

22 I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.

22 I call to God Most High, to God who fulfills [His purpose] for me.

22 I call upon the God Most High; to the God who completes what he began in me.

22 I will cry to God Most High, Who performs on my behalf and rewards me [Who brings to pass His purposes for me and surely completes them]!

33 He will send from heaven and save me; He reproaches him who tramples upon me Selah God will send forth His lovingkindness and His truth.

33 He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.

33 He reaches down from heaven and saves me, challenging the one who tramples me. Selah God sends His faithful love and truth.

33 He will send help from heaven to deliver me from those who harass and despise me. Interlude God will send his gracious love and truth.

33 He will send from heaven and save me from the slanders and reproaches of him who would trample me down or swallow me up, and He will put him to shame. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! God will send forth His mercy and loving-kindness and His truth and faithfulness.

44 My soul is among lions; I must lie among those who breathe forth fire, Even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows And their tongue a sharp sword.

44 My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.

44 I am in the midst of lions; I lie down with those who devour men. Their teeth are spears and arrows; their tongues are sharp swords.

44 I am surrounded by lions. I lie down with those who burn with fire that is, with people whose teeth are like spears and arrows whose tongues are like sharp swords.

44 My life is among lions; I must lie among those who are aflame -- "the sons of men whose teeth are spears and arrows, their tongues sharp swords.

66 They have prepared a net for my steps; My soul is bowed down; They dug a pit before me; They themselves have fallen into the midst of it. Selah.

66 They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah.

66 They prepared a net for my steps; I was downcast. They dug a pit ahead of me, but they fell into it! Selah

66 They have set a snare for my feet, which makes me depressed. They dug a pit in front of me, but they are the ones who fell into it! Interlude

66 They set a net for my steps; my very life was bowed down. They dug a pit in my way; into the midst of it they themselves have fallen. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!
