Slay

When you till the ground, it will not again give its strength to you. And you shall be a vagabond and a fugitive in the earth.

And Adoni-bezek fled. And they ran after him and caught him, and cut off his thumbs and his big toes.

For the living know that they shall die; but the dead do not know anything, nor do they have any more a reward; for their memory is forgotten.

And they shall know that I am Jehovah, when I shall scatter them among the nations and scatter them in the countries.

Scatter

You have given us like sheep for food, and have scattered us among the nations.

God will likewise destroy you forever; He shall take you away, and pluck you out of your tent, and root you out of the land of the living. Selah.

And I will scatter you among the nations, and will draw out a sword after you. And your land shall be waste, and your cities waste.

And Jehovah shall scatter you among the nations, and you shall be left few in number among the nations where Jehovah shall drive you.

And Jehovah shall scatter you among all people, from the one end of the earth even to the other, and you shall serve other gods there, which neither you nor your fathers have known, wood and stone.

then Jehovah your God will turn your captivity. And He will have compassion on you, and will return and gather you from all the nations where Jehovah your God has scattered you.

And they shall know that I am Jehovah, when I shall scatter them among the nations and scatter them in the countries.

He has worked power with His arm, He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their heart.

And let those in Judea flee to the mountains. And those in its midst, let them go out. And those in the open spaces, let them not go into her.

Bring

Look on everyone who is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.

Our shield

But You, O Jehovah, are a shield for me; my glory, the One who lifts up my head.

For Jehovah God is a sun and shield; Jehovah will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
