A Prayer For Mercy

11 O LORD, do not rebuke me in Your anger, Nor chasten me in Your wrath.

11 {To the chief Musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David.} O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.

11 Lord, do not rebuke me in Your anger; do not discipline me in Your wrath.

11 LORD, in your anger, do not rebuke me, in your wrath, do not discipline me.

11 O Lord, rebuke me not in Your anger nor discipline and chasten me in Your hot displeasure.

22 Be gracious to me, O LORD, for I am pining away; Heal me, O LORD, for my bones are dismayed.

22 Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.

22 Be gracious to me, Lord, for I am weak; heal me, Lord, for my bones are shaking;

22 Be gracious to me, LORD, because I am fading away. Heal me, because my body is distressed.

22 Have mercy on me and be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am weak (faint and withered away); O Lord, heal me, for my bones are troubled.

33 And my soul is greatly dismayed; But You, O LORD--how long?

33 My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?

33 my whole being is shaken with terror. And You, Lord-how long?

33 And my soul is deeply distressed. But you, LORD, how long do I wait?

33 My [inner] self [as well as my body] is also exceedingly disturbed and troubled. But You, O Lord, how long [until You return and speak peace to me]?

44 Return, O LORD, rescue my soul; Save me because of Your lovingkindness.

44 Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake.

44 Turn, Lord! Rescue me; save me because of Your faithful love.

44 Return, LORD, save my life! Deliver me, because of your gracious love.

44 Return [to my relief], O Lord, deliver my life; save me for the sake of Your steadfast love and mercy.

55 For there is no mention of You in death; In Sheol who will give You thanks?

55 For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?

55 For there is no remembrance of You in death; who can thank You in Sheol?

55 In death, there is no memory of you. Who will give you thanks where the dead are?

55 For in death there is no remembrance of You; in Sheol (the place of the dead) who will give You thanks?

66 I am weary with my sighing; Every night I make my bed swim, I dissolve my couch with my tears.

66 I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.

66 I am weary from my groaning; with my tears I dampen my pillow and drench my bed every night.

66 I am weary from my groaning. Every night my couch is drenched with tears, my bed is soaked through.

66 I am weary with my groaning; all night I soak my pillow with tears, I drench my couch with my weeping.

77 My eye has wasted away with grief; It has become old because of all my adversaries.

77 Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.

77 My eyes are swollen from grief; they grow old because of all my enemies.

77 My eyesight has faded because of grief, it has dimmed because of all my enemies.

77 My eye grows dim because of grief; it grows old because of all my enemies.

88 Depart from me, all you who do iniquity, For the LORD has heard the voice of my weeping.

88 Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.

88 Depart from me, all evildoers, for the Lord has heard the sound of my weeping.

88 Get away from me, all of you who practice evil, for the LORD has heard the sound of my weeping.

88 Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity, for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.

99 The LORD has heard my supplication, The LORD receives my prayer.

99 The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.

99 The Lord has heard my plea for help; the Lord accepts my prayer.

99 The LORD has heard my plea; the LORD receives my prayer.

99 The Lord has heard my supplication; the Lord receives my prayer.

1010 All my enemies will be ashamed and greatly dismayed; They shall turn back, they will suddenly be ashamed.

1010 Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.

1010 All my enemies will be ashamed and shake with terror; they will turn back and suddenly be disgraced.

1010 As for all my enemies, they will be put to shame; they will be greatly frightened and suddenly turn away ashamed. A Davidic psalm, which he sang to the LORD, because of the words of Cush the descendant of Benjamin.

1010 Let all my enemies be ashamed and sorely troubled; let them turn back and be put to shame suddenly.
