                                    1 For the choir director; with stringed instruments, (a)upon an eight-string lyre. A Psalm of David.O Lord, (A)do not rebuke me in Your anger,Nor chasten me in Your wrath.                                

                                    1 {To the chief Musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David.} O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.                                

                                    1 For the choir director: with stringed instruments, according to Sheminith.(A) A Davidic psalm.Lord, do not rebuke me in Your anger;do not discipline me in Your wrath.(B)                                

                                    1 LORD, in your anger, do not rebuke me, in your wrath, do not discipline me.                                

                                    1 O Lord, do not rebuke or punish me in Your anger,Nor discipline me in Your wrath.

                                    2 Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.

                                    2 Be gracious to me, LORD, because I am fading away. Heal me, because my body is distressed.

                                    5 In death, there is no memory of you. Who will give you thanks where the dead are?                                

                                    5 For in death there is no mention of You;In Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead) who will praise You and give You thanks?

                                    10 Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.                                

                                    10 All my enemies will be ashamed and shake with terror;they will turn back(P) and suddenly be disgraced.(Q)                                

                                    10 As for all my enemies, they will be put to shame; they will be greatly frightened and suddenly turn away ashamed. A Davidic psalm, which he sang to the LORD, because of the words of Cush the descendant of Benjamin.                                

                                    10 Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly horrified;Let them turn back, let them suddenly be ashamed [of what they have done].
