1 A Psalm of David, in his being in the wilderness of Judah. O God, Thou art my God, earnestly do I seek Thee, Thirsted for Thee hath my soul, Longed for Thee hath my flesh, In a land dry and weary, without waters.
1 A Psalm of David, (a)when he was in the wilderness of Judah.O God, (A)You are my God; I shall seek You (b)earnestly;My soul (B)thirsts for You, my flesh (c)yearns for You,In a (C)dry and weary land where there is no water.
1 {A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.} O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
1 A Davidic psalm. When he was in the Wilderness of Judah.(A)God, You are my God; I eagerly seek You.I thirst for You;my body faints for Youin a land that is dry, desolate, and without water.(B)
1 God, you are my God! I will fervently seek you. My soul thirsts for you; my flesh longs for you in a dry, weary, and parched land.
5 As with milk and fatness is my soul satisfied, And with singing lips doth my mouth praise.
5 My soul is (H)satisfied as with (d)marrow and fatness,And my mouth offers (I)praises with joyful lips.
5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
5 Just as I am satisfied with the choicest of foods, so my lips will praise you joyfully.
10 They cause him to run on the edge of the sword, A portion for foxes they are.
10 (h)They will be (i)(R)delivered over to the power of the sword;They will be a (j)(S)prey for foxes.
10 They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.
10 May they be given over to the power of the sword; may they become carrion for jackals.
11 And the king doth rejoice in God, Boast himself doth every one swearing by Him, But stopped is the mouth of those speaking lies!
11 But the (T)king will rejoice in God;Everyone who (U)swears by Him will glory,For the (V)mouths of those who speak lies will be stopped.
11 But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
11 But the king will rejoice in God;(N)all who swear by Him(b) will boast,for the mouths of liars will be shut.(O)
11 But as for the king, he will rejoice in God. Indeed, everyone who swears by God will exult, because the mouths of liars will be silenced. To the Director: A Davidic Psalm.
