I am become a stranger unto my brethren, even an alien unto my mother's children.

I am become a very reproof among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours. And they of mine own acquaintance are afraid of me; they that see me in the street, convey themselves from me.

The brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son: and the children shall arise against their fathers, and mothers, and shall put them to death,

For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law:

And he that betrayed him, gave them a token, saying, "Whosoever I kiss, the same is he: lay hands on him."

All this was done that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled." Then all the disciples forsook him and fled.

But he denied before them all saying, "I know not what thou sayest."

For as yet his brethren believed not in him.
