Prologue
1 The unveiling apocalypse of Jesus Christ which God gave him to show to his slaves the things which must soon come to pass; and he sent and made it known by his angel to his slave John.
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

1 This is the revelation of Jesus the Messiah, which God gave him to show his servants the things that must happen soon. He made it known by sending his messenger to his servant John,
2 He bore witness of the Word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, even of all the things that he saw.
2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
2 who testified to (F)the word of God and to (G)the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw.
2 who testified about this message from God and the testimony about Jesus the Messiah.
3 Blessed is he who reads, and they who hear the words of the prophecy, and keep what is written in it. For the crisis is at hand.

4 From John to the seven churches that are in Asia the Roman Province. Grace to you, and peace from Him that is and was and is to be, and from the Seven Spirits that are before his throne,

4 From John to the seven churches in Asia. May grace and peace be yours from the one who is, who was, and who is coming, from the seven spirits who are in front of his throne,
5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the Ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and has loosed us from our sins in his own blood;
5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

6 and has made us to be a kingdom of priests unto his God and Father; to him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever, Amen.

7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.

John's Vision Of The Son Of Man
9 I, John, who am your brother and who share with you in the woes and kingdom and stedfastness of Jesus, found myself in the island called Patmos, for the sake of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.
9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
9 (AD)I, John, your (AE)brother and (AF)fellow partaker in the tribulation and (AG)kingdom and (g)(AH)perseverance which are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos (AI)because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard a loud voice behind me, like a trumpet,

11 saying, "Write in a book what you see, and send it to the seven churches; to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamos and to Thyatira and Sardis and Philadelphia and Laodicea."
11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

12 And I turned to see the Voice which was speaking to me, and as I turned I saw seven golden candlesticks;

13 and in the midst of the candlesticks One like to a son of man, clothed with a robe down to the feet, and with a golden girdle round his breast.
13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
13 and (AW)in the middle of the lampstands I saw one (AX)like (j)a son of man, (AY)clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and (AZ)girded across His chest with a golden sash.
13 and among the lampstands was One like the Son of Man,(v)(R) dressed in a long robe and with a gold sash wrapped around His chest.

14 His head and his hair were as white as wool, as white as snow; his eyes were like a flame of fire,

16 In his right hand he held seven stars; and out of mouth went a sharp, two-edged sword, and his face was as the sun shining in his strength.
16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as one dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying. "Fear not; I am the first and the last, and the Living One.
17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

18 I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore; and hold the keys of death and of Hades.
18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

20 The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks, is this. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven candlesticks are the seven churches."

20 As for the (BS)mystery of the (BT)seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the (BU)seven golden lampstands: the (BV)seven stars are the angels of (BW)the seven churches, and the seven (BX)lampstands are the seven churches.
20 The secret of the seven stars you saw in My right hand and of the seven gold lampstands is this: The seven stars are the angels(y) of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands(z) are the seven churches.
20 The secret meaning of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and the seven gold lamp stands is this: the seven stars are the messengers of the seven churches, and the seven lamp stands are the seven churches."
