saying, “Write in a book what you see, and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.”

Then the Lord said to me, “Take for yourself a large tablet and write on it in ordinary letters:

Swift is the booty, speedy is the prey.

Then the Lord answered me and said,
“Record the vision
And inscribe it on tablets,
That the one who reads it may run.

Seal up

“The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our sons forever, that we may observe all the words of this law.

Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

The entire vision will be to you like the words of a sealed

book, which when they give it to the one who is literate, saying, “Please read this,” he will say, “I cannot, for it is sealed.”

“The vision of the evenings and mornings
Which has been told is true;
But keep the vision secret,
For it pertains to many days in the future.”

But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.”
