1 And there was given me a reed similar to a rod, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and those who worship in it. 2 And leave out the court outside the temple, and do not measure it, because it has been given to the nations. And they will trample the holy city forty-two months. 3 And I will give to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days clothed in sackcloth. 4 These men are the two olive trees and the two lampstands, having stood before the Lord of the earth. 5 And if any man wants to harm them, fire comes out of their mouth and devours their enemies. And if any man wants to harm them, he must be killed this way. 6 These men have authority to shut the sky, so that it may not rain the days of their prophecy.
