Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand.

“The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss and

go to destruction. And those who dwell on the earth, whose name has not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, will wonder when they see the beast, that he was and is not and will come.

And set

A stone was brought and laid over the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the signet rings of his nobles, so that nothing would be changed in regard to Daniel.

And they went and made the grave secure, and along with the guard they set a seal on the stone.

Should deceive

and will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together for the war; the number of them is like the sand of the seashore.

And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

And he deceives those who dwell on the earth because of the signs which it was given him to perform

in the presence of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who *had the wound of the sword and has come to life.

for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty.

with whom the kings of the earth committed acts of immorality, and those who dwell on the earth were made drunk with the wine of her immorality.”

For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great

signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.

But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.

that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and

signs and false wonders,

The thousand

For a thousand years in Your sight
Are like yesterday when it passes by,

Or as a watch in the night.

But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.

And after

When the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison,
