Romans 1:2

Which he had promised before, by his prophets in the holy scriptures,

But the righteousness of God without the law is now manifested, being attested by the law and the prophets,

In hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the world began;

As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, who have been since the world began: That we should be saved from our enemies,

Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

To him give all the prophets witness, that every one who believeth in him, shall receive forgiveness of sins through his name.

And now I stand in judgment, for the hope of the promise made by God to our fathers:

Much every way; chiefly in that they were intrusted with the oracles of God.

But now made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God,
