Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.
But I have written very boldly to you on some points so as to remind you again, because of
the grace that was given me from God,
For of His
fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.
1 Corinthians 15:10
the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me did not prove vain; but I labored even more than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me.
2 Corinthians 3:5
Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but
our adequacy is from God,
But when God, who had set me apart even from my mother’s womb and
called me through His grace, was pleased
if indeed you have heard of the
stewardship of God’s grace which was given to me for you;
1 Timothy 1:11
the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted.
occupy this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place.”
1 Corinthians 9:2
If to others I am not an apostle, at least I am to you; for you are the
seal of my apostleship in the Lord.
(for He who effectually worked for Peter in his
apostleship to the circumcised effectually worked for me also to the Gentiles),
For obedience to the faith
For I will not presume to speak of anything
except what Christ has accomplished through me, resulting in the obedience of the Gentiles by word and deed,
but now is manifested, and by
the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, has been made known to all the nations, leading to obedience of faith;
The word of God kept on spreading; and the number of the disciples continued to increase greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were becoming obedient to the faith.
2 Corinthians 10:4
weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.
And having been made
perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation,
is God the God of Jews only? Is He not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also,
For his name
For from the
rising of the sun even to its setting, My name will be great among the nations, and in every place incense is going to be offered to My name, and a grain offering that is pure; for My name will be great among the nations,” says the Lord of hosts.
Simeon has related how God first concerned Himself about taking from among the Gentiles a people for His name.
to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.
1 Peter 2:9
But you are
a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
