For according to their ability, I testify, and beyond their ability, of their own accord,

What then was your blessedness? For I bear you witness that, if possible, you would have dug out your eyes and have given them to me.

For I bear him witness that he has great zeal for you and for those in Laodicea, and for those in Hierapolis.

They shall put you out of the synagogues; but the hour is coming when every one that kills you will think he renders God a service.

I indeed thought with myself that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus the Nazoraean,

and was a proficient in Judaism beyond many of my age among my people, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.

They are zealous for you, but not well, but they wish to exclude you that you may be zealous for them.

as to zeal persecuting the church, as to righteousness by the law being blameless.

But not

for not knowing God's righteousness, and seeking to set up their righteousness, they have not submitted themselves to God's righteousness.

but Israel who pursued the law of righteousness did not attain to the law of righteousness.

in whom the god of this life has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the likeness of God, may not shine.

And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all understanding,
