Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb:
yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith,
giving glory to God,
It is good not to eat meat or to drink wine, or to do anything by which your brother stumbles.
But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith!
He *said to them,
“Why are you Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and afraid, you men of little faith?” it became perfectly calm.
Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and *said to him,
“ You of little faith, why did you doubt?”
And Jesus said to him,
“‘If You can?’ All things are possible to him who believes.”
Then He *said to Thomas,
“ Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.”
fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, “Will a child be born to a man one hundred years old? And will Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?”
Abraham and Sarah were old, advanced in age; Sarah was past childbearing.
By faith even
Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised.
