Zephaniah 1:6

Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

And them that are turned back from the LORD; and those that have not sought the LORD, nor inquired for him.

The wicked man is so arrogant he always thinks, "God won't hold me accountable; he doesn't care."

The Lord looks down from heaven at the human race, to see if there is anyone who is wise and seeks God.

"But you did not call for me, O Jacob; you did not long for me, O Israel.

All of them are blazing like an oven; they devour their rulers. All of their kings fall -- and none of them call on me!

there is no one who understands, there is no one who seeks God.

how will we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was first communicated through the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard him,

But later they had changed their minds. They had taken back their male and female slaves that they had freed and forced them to be slaves again.
