Zephaniah 3:16

Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack.

Next day the great mass of people who had come up for the festival heard that Jesus was entering Jerusalem,

So up with your listless hands! Strengthen your weak knees!

Hence, as I hold this ministry by God's mercy to me, I never lose heart in it;

Never let us grow tired of doing what is right, for if we do not faint we shall reap our harvest at the opportune season.

So I beg of you not to lose heart over what I am suffering on your behalf; my sufferings are an honour to you.

Compare him who steadily endured all that hostility from sinful men, so as to keep your own hearts from fainting and failing.

I know that you are enduring patiently and have borne up for my sake and have not wearied.
