וַ֠יִּרְאוּ
way·yir·’ū
And when saw
כָּל־
kāl-
אִ֨ישׁ
’îš
the men
יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל
yiś·rā·’êl
אֲשֶׁר־
’ă·šer-
בָּעֵ֙מֶק֙
bā·‘ê·meq
in the valley
כִּ֣י
kî
､ נָ֔סוּ
nā·sū,
וְכִי־
wə·ḵî-
､ מֵ֖תוּ
mê·ṯū
שָׁא֣וּל
šā·’ūl
וּבָנָ֑יו
ū·ḇā·nāw;
and his sons
וַיַּעַזְב֤וּ
way·ya·‘az·ḇū
､ עָרֵיהֶם֙
‘ā·rê·hem
– וַיָּנֻ֔סוּ
way·yā·nu·sū,
and fled –
וַיָּבֹ֣אוּ
way·yā·ḇō·’ū
פְלִשְׁתִּ֔ים
p̄ə·liš·tîm,
וַיֵּשְׁב֖וּ
way·yê·šə·ḇū
and dwelt
. בָּהֶֽם׃
bā·hem.
in them .
