וּבְנֵ֨י

And the sons
רְאוּבֵ֥ן
rə·’ū·ḇên
בְּכֽוֹר־
bə·ḵō·wr-
､ יִשְׂרָאֵל֮
yiś·rā·’êl
of Israel ､
כִּ֣י
kî
ה֣וּא
hū
he [was indeed]
– הַבְּכוֹר֒
hab·bə·ḵō·wr
the firstborn –
וּֽבְחַלְּלוֹ֙
ū·ḇə·ḥal·lə·lōw
､ יְצוּעֵ֣י
yə·ṣū·‘ê
bed ､
אָבִ֔יו
’ā·ḇîw,
נִתְּנָה֙
nit·tə·nāh
בְּכֹ֣רָת֔וֹ
bə·ḵō·rā·ṯōw,
לִבְנֵ֥י
liḇ·nê
to the sons
יוֹסֵ֖ף
yō·w·sêp̄
בֶּן־
ben-
– יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל
yiś·rā·’êl;
of Israel –
וְלֹ֥א
wə·lō
so that not
לְהִתְיַחֵ֖שׂ
lə·hiṯ·ya·ḥêś
. לַבְּכֹרָֽה׃
lab·bə·ḵō·rāh.
