וַיֹּ֨אמֶר
way·yō·mer
And said
אֵלִיָּ֜הוּ
’ê·lî·yā·hū
לִנְבִיאֵ֣י
lin·ḇî·’ê
to the prophets
､ הַבַּ֗עַל
hab·ba·‘al,
of Baal ､
בַּחֲר֨וּ
ba·ḥă·rū
לָכֶ֜ם
lā·ḵem
הַפָּ֤ר
hap·pār
הָֽאֶחָד֙
hā·’e·ḥāḏ
וַעֲשׂ֣וּ
wa·‘ă·śū
and prepare [it]
– רִאשֹׁנָ֔ה
ri·šō·nāh,
first –
כִּ֥י
kî
אַתֶּ֖ם
’at·tem
– הָרַבִּ֑ים
hā·rab·bîm;
many –
וְקִרְאוּ֙
wə·qir·’ū
and call
בְּשֵׁ֣ם
bə·šêm
on the name
､ אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֔ם
’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem,
of your god ､
וְאֵ֖שׁ
wə·’êš
but fire
לֹ֥א
lō
no
. תָשִֽׂימוּ׃
ṯā·śî·mū.
put [under it] .
