וְחָזַקְתָּ֖

Therefore be strong

וְהָיִ֥יתָֽ

wə·hā·yî·ṯā

and prove yourself

– לְאִֽישׁ׃

lə·’îš.

a man –

וְשָׁמַרְתָּ֞

wə·šā·mar·tā

and keep

יְהוָ֣ה

in His ways ､

His statutes ､

His commandments ､

､ וּמִשְׁפָּטָ֣יו

and His judgments ､

､ וְעֵדְוֺתָ֔יו

and His testimonies ､

כַּכָּת֖וּב

kak·kā·ṯūḇ

as it is written

בַּחֲגֹֽרָתוֹ֙

ba·ḥă·ḡō·rā·ṯōw

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

､ בְּמָתְנָ֔יו

bə·mā·ṯə·nāw,

around his waist ､

וּֽבְנַעֲל֖וֹ

ū·ḇə·na·‘ă·lōw

and on his sandals

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

’ă·šer

. בְּרַגְלָֽיו׃

bə·raḡ·lāw.

וְעָשִׂ֖יתָ

wə·‘ā·śî·ṯā

､ כְּחָכְמָתֶ֑ךָ

kə·ḥā·ḵə·mā·ṯe·ḵā;

according to your wisdom ､

וְלֹֽא־

wə·lō-

and not

תוֹרֵ֧ד

ṯō·w·rêḏ

do let go down

שֵׂיבָת֛וֹ

śê·ḇā·ṯōw

בְּשָׁלֹ֖ם

bə·šā·lōm

. שְׁאֹֽל׃

to the grave .

the Gileadite ､

חֶ֔סֶד

ḥe·seḏ,

וְהָי֖וּ

and let them be

בְּאֹכְלֵ֣י

bə·’ō·ḵə·lê

among those who eat

– שֻׁלְחָנֶ֑ךָ

šul·ḥā·ne·ḵā;

at your table –

קְלָלָ֣ה

with a curse

נִמְרֶ֔צֶת

nim·re·ṣeṯ,

בְּי֖וֹם

in the day

לֶכְתִּ֣י

. מַחֲנָ֑יִם

ma·ḥă·nā·yim;

וְהֽוּא־

But he

יָרַ֤ד

לִקְרָאתִי֙

to meet me

､ הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן

at the Jordan ､

וָאֶשָּׁ֨בַֽע

and I swore

I will put you to death

– תְּנַקֵּ֔הוּ

do hold him guiltless –

וְיָֽדַעְתָּ֙

and he said ､

Moreover he said

their expectations

– לִמְלֹ֑ךְ

and However has been turned over ､

He promised ､

יוּמַ֖ת

shall be put to death

. אֲדֹנִיָּֽהוּ׃

וַיִּשְׁלַח֙

and upon the head

and his throne ､

on the day

your wickedness

[shall be] blessed ､
