וַיֹּ֣אמֶר
way·yō·mer
And said
שָׁא֗וּל
šā·’ūl,
לָעָם֙
lā·‘ām
to the people
אֲשֶׁ֣ר
’ă·šer
אִתּ֔וֹ
’it·tōw,
with him
פִּקְדוּ־
piq·ḏū-
､ נָ֣א
nā
now ､
וּרְא֔וּ
ū·rə·’ū,
and see
מִ֖י
mî
הָלַ֣ךְ
hā·laḵ
מֵעִמָּ֑נוּ
mê·‘im·mā·nū;
from us
､ וַֽיִּפְקְד֔וּ
way·yip̄·qə·ḏū,
and when they had called the roll ､
､ וְהִנֵּ֛ה
wə·hin·nêh
and surprisingly ､
אֵ֥ין
’ên
[were] not [there]
יוֹנָתָ֖ן
yō·w·nā·ṯān
וְנֹשֵׂ֥א
wə·nō·śê
and
. כֵלָֽיו׃
ḵê·lāw.
