וְשָׁא֛וּל
wə·šā·’ūl
So Saul
לָכַ֥ד
lā·ḵaḏ
הַמְּלוּכָ֖ה
ham·mə·lū·ḵāh
עַל־
‘al-
､ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל
yiś·rā·’êl;
Israel ､
וַיִּלָּ֣חֶם
way·yil·lā·ḥem
and fought
､ סָבִ֣יב ׀
sā·ḇîḇ
on every side ､
בְּֽכָל־
bə·ḵāl
אֹיְבָ֡יו
’ō·yə·ḇāw
､ בְּמוֹאָ֣ב ׀
bə·mō·w·’āḇ
וּבִבְנֵי־
ū·ḇiḇ·nê-
and against the sons
､ עַמּ֨וֹן
‘am·mō·wn
of Ammon ､
､ וּבֶאֱד֜וֹם
ū·ḇe·’ĕ·ḏō·wm
and against Edom ､
וּבְמַלְכֵ֤י
ū·ḇə·mal·ḵê
and against the kings
､ צוֹבָה֙
ṣō·w·ḇāh
of Zobah ､
– וּבַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים
ū·ḇap·pə·liš·tîm,
and against the Philistines –
וּבְכֹ֥ל
ū·ḇə·ḵōl
and
אֲשֶׁר־
’ă·šer-
יִפְנֶ֖ה
yip̄·neh
. יַרְשִֽׁיעַ׃
yar·šî·a‘.
he harassed [them] .
