וַיִּקַּ֨ח
way·yiq·qaḥ
And took
שְׁמוּאֵ֜ל
šə·mū·’êl
אֶת־
’eṯ-
-
קֶ֣רֶן
qe·ren
the horn
､ הַשֶּׁ֗מֶן
haš·še·men,
of oil ､
וַיִּמְשַׁ֣ח
way·yim·šaḥ
אֹתוֹ֮
’ō·ṯōw
בְּקֶ֣רֶב
bə·qe·reḇ
in the midst
– אֶחָיו֒
’e·ḥāw
of his brothers –
וַתִּצְלַ֤ח
wat·tiṣ·laḥ
and came
רֽוּחַ־
rū·aḥ-
the Spirit
יְהוָה֙
Yah·weh
אֶל־
’el-
דָּוִ֔ד
dā·wiḏ,
מֵהַיּ֥וֹם
mê·hay·yō·wm
הַה֖וּא
ha·hū
. וָמָ֑עְלָה
wā·mā·‘ə·lāh;
and forward .
､ וַיָּ֣קָם
way·yā·qām
So arose ､
שְׁמוּאֵ֔ל
šə·mū·’êl,
וַיֵּ֖לֶךְ
way·yê·leḵ
and went
. הָרָמָֽתָה׃
hā·rā·mā·ṯāh.
to Ramah .
