､ וַיִּלָּחֲמ֣וּ
way·yil·lā·ḥă·mū
So fought ､
פְלִשְׁתִּ֗ים
p̄ə·liš·tîm,
､ וַיִּנָּ֤גֶף
way·yin·nā·ḡep̄
and was defeated ､
יִשְׂרָאֵל֙
yiś·rā·’êl
וַיָּנֻ֙סוּ֙
way·yā·nu·sū
and fled
אִ֣ישׁ
’îš
– לְאֹהָלָ֔יו
lə·’ō·hā·lāw,
to his tent –
וַתְּהִ֥י
wat·tə·hî
– הַמַּכָּ֖ה
ham·mak·kāh
a slaughter –
גְּדוֹלָ֣ה
gə·ḏō·w·lāh
מְאֹ֑ד
mə·’ōḏ;
וַיִּפֹּל֙
way·yip·pōl
מִיִּשְׂרָאֵ֔ל
mî·yiś·rā·’êl,
שְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים
šə·lō·šîm
אֶ֖לֶף
’e·lep̄
. רַגְלִֽי׃
raḡ·lî.
