a son ､
וּשְׁמ֤וֹ
ū·šə·mōw
､ שָׁאוּל֙
šā·’ūl
[was] Saul ､
､ בָּח֣וּר
bā·ḥūr
choice ､
– וָט֔וֹב
wā·ṭō·wḇ,
and handsome –
וְאֵ֥ין
wə·’ên
and [There was] not
אִ֛ישׁ
’îš
מִבְּנֵ֥י
mib·bə·nê
יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל
yiś·rā·’êl
ט֣וֹב
ṭō·wḇ
מִמֶּ֑נּוּ
mim·men·nū;
than he
מִשִּׁכְמ֣וֹ
miš·šiḵ·mōw
וָמַ֔עְלָה
wā·ma‘·lāh,
and upward
גָּבֹ֖הַּ
gā·ḇō·ah
[he was] higher
מִכָּל־
mik·kāl
. הָעָֽם׃
hā·‘ām.
of the people .
