וְאַחֲרֵי־
wə·’a·ḥă·rê-
And after
כֵ֡ן
ḵên
בָּנָ֣ה
bā·nāh
חוֹמָ֣ה
ḥō·w·māh
חִֽיצוֹנָ֣ה ׀
ḥî·ṣō·w·nāh
לְעִיר־
lə·‘îr-
the City
､ דָּוִ֡יד
dā·wîḏ
of David ､
מַעְרָבָה֩
ma‘·rā·ḇāh
on the west side
､ לְגִיח֨וֹן
lə·ḡî·ḥō·wn
of Gihon ､
､ בַּנַּ֜חַל
ban·na·ḥal
in the valley ､
וְלָב֨וֹא
wə·lā·ḇō·w
and as far as the entrance
בְשַׁ֤עַר
ḇə·ša·‘ar
of Gate
הַדָּגִים֙
had·dā·ḡîm
the Fish
וְסָבַ֣ב
wə·sā·ḇaḇ
and [it] enclosed
､ לָעֹ֔פֶל
lā·‘ō·p̄el,
Ophel ､
וַיַּגְבִּיהֶ֖הָ
way·yaḡ·bî·he·hā
and he raised it to a great height
､ מְאֹ֑ד
mə·’ōḏ;
very ､
וַיָּ֧שֶׂם
way·yā·śem
and he put
שָֽׂרֵי־
śā·rê-
חַ֛יִל
ḥa·yil
בְּכָל־
bə·ḵāl
in all
הֶעָרִ֥ים
he·‘ā·rîm
the cities
הַבְּצֻר֖וֹת
hab·bə·ṣu·rō·wṯ
. בִּיהוּדָֽה׃
bî·hū·ḏāh.
of Judah .
