וַיְהִ֣י
way·hî
But it came to pass
､ מִֽמָּחֳרָ֗ת
mim·mā·ḥo·rāṯ,
on the next day ､
וַיִּקַּ֤ח
way·yiq·qaḥ
､ הַמַּכְבֵּר֙
ham·maḵ·bêr
a thick cloth ､
וַיִּטְבֹּ֣ל
way·yiṭ·bōl
and dipped [it]
､ בַּמַּ֔יִם
bam·ma·yim,
in water ､
וַיִּפְרֹ֥שׂ
way·yip̄·rōś
and spread [it]
עַל־
‘al-
､ פָּנָ֖יו
pā·nāw
his face ､
. וַיָּמֹ֑ת
way·yā·mōṯ;
so that he died .
וַיִּמְלֹ֥ךְ
way·yim·lōḵ
חֲזָהאֵ֖ל
ḥă·zā·h·’êl
. תַּחְתָּֽיו׃
taḥ·tāw.
in his place .
