וְהָיָ֗ה

and it happens that

､ תַּעֲלֶה֙
ta·‘ă·leh
rises ､
חֲמַ֣ת
ḥă·maṯ
הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ
ham·me·leḵ,
of the king
וְאָמַ֣ר
wə·’ā·mar
and he says
לְךָ֔
lə·ḵā,
to you
מַדּ֛וּעַ
mad·dū·a‘
נִגַּשְׁתֶּ֥ם
nig·gaš·tem
אֶל־
’el-
to
הָעִ֖יר
hā·‘îr
the city
؟ לְהִלָּחֵ֑ם
lə·hil·lā·ḥêm;
הֲל֣וֹא
hă·lō·w
did not
יְדַעְתֶּ֔ם
yə·ḏa‘·tem,
אֵ֥ת
’êṯ
-
אֲשֶׁר־
’ă·šer-
יֹר֖וּ
yō·rū
מֵעַ֥ל
mê·‘al
؟ הַחוֹמָֽה׃
ha·ḥō·w·māh.
